Sean has spent over 20 years in consulting and leadership roles in the executive search & recruitment sectors. He's managed and started businesses in corporate and boutique firms in NZ and Australia. Sean's recruited C-suite, functional leadership and specialist professional roles across most disciplines. He's worked with boards, executive teams, and organisations of all shapes and sizes to find the right people.

Sean Brunner is the founder and director of Takon, his primary focus today is leadership & professional search in the construction, infrastructure and built environment sector — working with contractors, developers, consultancies and infrastructure operators to secure QS, project management, construction management and senior engineering talent. 

Beyond construction and infrastructure, Sean has an extensive track record delivering senior leadership appointments across a wide range of disciplines and sectors — including finance, HR, sales, technology and operations — for organisations across New Zealand. His career includes 13 years at Robert Walters, including nine years as Director of the Wellington business, and nine years founding and managing a boutique leadership search firm. 

Sean has always believed there is a better, more consultative and transparent way to deliver search and recruitment. That belief is what Takon is built on.
